Passion for Photography
Creating Captivating Visual Stories
I am passionate about taking photos that make people stop and take a second look. I aim to capture hidden elements that may go unnoticed at first glance and transport my audience to another place and time. I aspire to evoke a range of emotions and sensations. My muse for photography is a combination of various elements that inspire me in different ways. Fine art, for instance, has always been a source of inspiration for me. The way artists capture emotions and expressions through their paintings is truly remarkable and something I strive to achieve with my photography. Museums, too, offer a wealth of inspiration with their vast collections of art, history, and culture. I am drawn to the intricate details of ancient artifacts and the beauty of classical art installations. Music, literature, and nature are also significant influences in my photography. I love to capture the emotions and moods that music evokes, whether it's a live performance's energy or a classical piece's tranquility. Literature inspires me to tell stories through my photographs, unfolding as the viewer examines the portrait. Finally, nature is a constant source of beauty and wonder. Whether it's a stunning landscape or a tiny flower, nature never fails to inspire me.
When photographing my subject, I can already visualize how they would appear as a magnificent piece of art, be it a painting, a drawing, or a musical score. It's almost as if the subject has a hidden beauty that can only be revealed through the lens. It's a beautiful feeling to capture someone's essence creatively and expressively.
There's something so satisfying about capturing a moment that requires a second look to appreciate fully. And when I look at these photos, I can almost feel, taste, and smell the scene as if I were there. It's like magic! I would like the viewer to pause and appreciate the intricacies. I hope my portraits possess the ability to evoke a diverse range of feelings and experiences, making it a truly enchanting and remarkable art form.
Three artists who have inspired some of my works include Max Nonnenbruch, Élisabeth Louise Vigée Le Brun and Rembrandt.
Max Nonnenbruch (1857 - 1922) was a celebrated German-born painter. Nonnenbruch was truly a master of his craft. His stunning landscapes and unique symbolism style have always captivated me. The way he used color and light to create such intricate and detailed works of art is truly awe-inspiring. I particularly love how his paintings are imbued with vivid colors that seem alive on the canvas.
Élisabeth Louise Vigée Le Brun 1755 – 1842 was a renowned French painter who gained much success during her time in Paris, France. Despite being a woman artist, she managed to achieve great success and recognition for her works, making her one of the most successful women artists of her time. Her portraits of women were particularly noted for their beauty and elegance, showcasing her remarkable talent as a painter.
Last but certainly not least is Rembrandt Harmenszoon van Rijn 1606 - 1669. I have always been fascinated by the paintings of Rembrandt. His use of light and shadow is remarkable, and his attention to detail is unmatched.
